Why Do We Stay in Appalachia?

After a consensus of discussion, I believe most people feel that family and community are the bottom line. Our children deserve a wonderful public education just the same as any other children in Ohio. Who better to provide that education than us?

As teachers we tend to teach the way we were taught. Hmmmm, I wonder if as parents we tend to parent the way we were brought up by our parents.

Change is a difficult thing for many of us, and yet Change is such a critical factor for growth and survival. What a dilemma. Our choices seem to be our history and our future. This too is how we are often judged/criticized and not on the process or the evidence that led us to the decision.
